Employee Interview

Taxi driver

Mr. X, male, 30s

"I'm very satisfied with the environment where my hard work is recognized!"

My previous job was unrelated to being a taxi driver.
I've always loved cars, so I took the plunge and joined the company, and every day is fulfilling!
I had the image of taxi driving being a job for older people, so I thought it might be too early for me, in my 30s, but Orange Taxi in Iizuka has introduced a cutting-edge system, so I feel like I was able to make a smooth debut.
Although I've only been with the company for about six months, I've already received praise from customers and my hard work is recognized by the company, so I feel full of ambition.
From now on, I aim to become a driver who can be a role model for younger drivers!

Mr. A, 40s/male

"It's a relaxed and flexible place to work."

Although things went smoothly and I was accepted to join the company, I was a little worried because my previous job was in a completely different industry, I had moved from another prefecture, I had no knowledge of the area, and I didn't have a Class 2 driver's license, so I had no experience.
When I joined the company, I was surprised to find that all the drivers were cheerful and easygoing (laughs).
I thought the company would be very strict and full of rules, but it wasn't like that at all.
We are free to wear whatever we want, so I wear a colored cap to show off my personality and customers can remember me, and I can work freely (laughs). It's fun because you can be creative with your outfits and have a lot of freedom ♪
I can take time off relatively freely, so I can work at my own pace and it's easy to work here.
I was surprised because I didn't realize it was such a free job (laughs). I don't think young people know about it.
I want more young people to know about me, so I want to become a driver that young people think is cool!

Mr. Y, male, 20s

"There are a lot of really nice drivers and customers!"

My previous job was as a truck driver, so I got used to the job easily.
I happened to take an Orange Taxi when I was thinking about changing jobs, and the driver was really nice to me! After hearing a lot of stories, I thought it seemed like a good place to work, so I applied right away and was hired (laughs).
Many of our customers are repeat customers, and they are all really nice people!

The most fun part of my job is talking to customers.
The other day, a customer told me, "I'm so happy to be driving your car," and it made me so happy!
I want to continue to be a driver who makes customers happy.
"You can make money! The more you work, the more you get in return! (laughs)"

Telephone Operator

Ms. Y (woman in her 30s)

"An environment where you are rewarded based on your efforts!"

I started out as a telephone operator.

Iizuka City uses the latest vehicle dispatch system, which involves very little radio communication as you might imagine, and if you can use a PC like most people, I think you'll be able to learn how to operate it in no time.

Although I never meet customers face to face, they remember my voice and sometimes say, "Oh! Mr. XX? I'm so happy!"

Currently, I am in the role of manager, and I am in charge of the core of the business system so that operators can act without hesitation, while also overseeing the establishment of on-site rules and human resource development. I work as a "hub" that connects technology and people and supports the on-site workforce, and every day is fulfilling.

I am very satisfied with my workplace because I can speak frankly with the president and he properly evaluates my work and efforts!

Our current goal is to incorporate the latest systems and create an even more comfortable working environment for people in their 20s and 30s.

Mr. T, 60s/male

"I was able to build a relationship of trust with the crew."

There are people of all ages in my workplace, and the atmosphere is good, so I can talk casually with my superiors.

This is a workplace that perfectly describes its friendly atmosphere.

At first, I wasn't used to using a computer, but I gradually got to understand the system, and when I was able to dispatch the vehicles smoothly, I felt a great sense of accomplishment. I was also able to become friendly with the drivers, which is another rewarding aspect of my job.

I originally worked in the food and beverage industry, so I'm able to put my customer service skills to good use!

I'm still not very knowledgeable about computers, so I'm actively doing the tasks I can do, such as vehicle management, to expand the scope of my work!

I will continue to work hard so as not to lose to the younger generation!

Ms. Y (woman in her 30s)

"The environment is great and it's a great place to work!"

I've only been here for a few months. When I first started working as a telephone operator, I was anxious because there were many things I didn't understand, but everyone around me is always warm and supportive, so I can work with peace of mind. Recently, I've been able to handle vehicle dispatching smoothly. In particular, when I hear words like "Thank you" or "You helped me out" from customers, I feel truly happy and realize that it was worth the effort. Those words encourage me every day, and I strongly feel that I want to improve my skills so that I can be of even greater use to them.
